Wedding Poem Example
Dear Joe,
So now the navy pilot
And his lady, she of torts
They have big news to share
And it's nothing out of sorts.
It seems they're getting married
Isn't it truly great?
They're ready, set to walk the aisle
Come next May 28.
The bride, Michele, has something
For her beloved Joe
And he's about to get it
In fact, he's gonna go.
But more on this great sojourn
To come in latter stanzas
For now, a chronicle, it seems
Of personal bonanzas.
Michelle and Joe, a couple
Perfection they surely make
Their love it's simply for real
Authentic - yes, not fake.
Their meeting at Eharmony
A tale of cyber love
Online they found just what they wanted
Like a bolt from the blue above.
Michelle loves Joe for lots of things
He's funny and he's smart
But so much more, she'll tell you
That sets him far apart.
An inner strength, a kindness
That she says always shows
A sense of calm and caring
That's so uniquely Joe's.
And Joe knows his Michelle
Is classy, classic and wise
His love for her is boundless
And broader than a pilot's skies.
He knew Michelle was, yes, "the one",
He wore it on his sleeve
He knew it from the empty feeling
That pulsed when ere' she'd leave.
They learned this love delightfully
And reveled in the same
During Sports Weekend in Houston
When they ran from game to game.
Astros baseball was a hit
Then they tackled t he Texans, and how!
The weekend reached a climax
With dinner at Fogo de Chao.
But the biggest thrill of all
As if on Cupid's cue
Was when Joe uttered magic
Telling Michelle, "I love you."
The rest it came to follow
Sure as Murphy's one great pet
Now we're ready for a marriage
And all the plans are set.
