A Sample Wedding Verse

Dear Sherry and Chris,

I almost can't believe I'm here
To see Sherry marry Chris
To you she is the blushing bride
To me, she's just my little sis.

Is this beauty here before us
With so much grace and poise
The same annoying sister
That used to steal my toys?

Well despite our little quibbles
Together we were stuck
And that became a blessing
When the tragedies struck.

We leaned upon each other
To get us through each day
We forged a very special bond
Mere words cannot convey.

We're more than simply sisters
That title, we did transcend
For years and years, you've always been
My closest and best friend.

You're there when I might need you
No matter when or where
When I had my first baby boy
You drove five hours to be there!

And who else would ever use up
A week of vacation time
To help me out and babysit
Those hyper kids of mine?

Oh, I will have to remember to
Make sure those days I savor
Because soon enough, I'll probably be
Returning all that favor!

Somehow you're always able
To support those whom you love
Never putting yourself first
Always putting others above.

Though you're my little sister
I look up to you a lot
Not only is your heart real big
But you're also pretty hot!

Which brings me, of course, to Chris
The man who's been bewitched
It only took you, what, ten years
To finally get hitched?

I hope you fully understand
That you've got quite the catch
And it's clear for everyone to see
That you're a perfect match.

You both are quite outdoorsy
I know that much is true
And also that you're both obsessed
With that wiemereiner Blue!

I could not be more happy
For you, the perfect pair
The love between the two of you
Is something very rare

So here's to Chris and Sherry
May their days be long and bright
