Graduation Thank You Poetry Sample
Thank you all, so much,
For being here today.
So please get nice and comfy,
'Cause there's stuff I gotta say.
Now I'm a college graduate,
Yes, it's really true.
But I know I couldn't have done it,
Without all of you.
So without further pause,
I'll speak plain from the heart.
I've got a lot of folks to thank,
And now's the time to start.
Above all, Mom and Dad,
What else can I say?
For all you've always done,
Making my every day.
You paid for all my schooling,
Gave me love like mad.
Mom, you're my best friend,
And my knight in shining armor is Dad.
My sisters, Laurie and Karen,
Sibs whom I adore,
If I think I love you lots today,
Tomorrow I'll love you more.
Laurie's off to college now,
I'll miss her very much.
So lovely and so wonderful,
We'll never be out of touch.
Karen is our comedian,
She makes you laugh so loud.
Quite the horseback rider,
She always does us proud.
My boyfriend, Kenny, I adore,
Means everything to me.
So patient, kind and thoughtful,
The big picture, he helps me see.
I love him very much,
We have so much fun.
Kenny, you're my brightness,
Truly, my sparkling sun.
Rick is my best friend,
So funny and what a brain!

He's my one high school connection,

The greatest, that is them,
Flew from Vegas, here to be.
"Follow your nose," they advised me,
To get through all kinds of things.
Helped me graduate college,
A world of good that philosophy brings.
Then there's Uncle James,
And Aunt Elsa, they're so cool.
Uncle James is known for his pranks,
Making fun is his number one rule.
He's where I go when trouble lurks,
Helps me out, early or late.
This Vegas contingent of the family,
Hey, they sure are great.
Ceil I save for last,
She's truly my great friend.
There's no beginning with her,
And surely there's no end.
I can always count in K,
She's a wonder, that's for sure.
The very best, I mean it,
You could simply ever ask for.
I want to thank you, everyone,
Dear family, great friends all.
Today is truly special,
Let's just have a ball.
You make my life so wonderful,
I say it 'cause it's true.
Don't know where I'd be
Without all of you.
