Sample Sister Wedding Toast
What a wonderful day, and what a great event! The wedding of my dear sister, Laura, to my brand new big brother, Paul.
It's quite a story about these two. The lovely and petite Latina from New York City and the tall, handsome fella from Michigan. Meeting in Manhattan, on St. Patrick's Day, yet! He liked her smile. She thought he was cute. She wouldn't give him her phone number. Instead, she gave him her computer address. The next day he wrote an email that she found…well, irresistible.
I think it was love at first sight. And now I think it's love at EVERY sight. These two have really found it -- love, I mean -- and that's great because they're both great people. Lots of fun, lots of character. They're diligent and hard working. And they know how to be silly…and enjoy life. Also this: family means a great deal to both of them.
On that note of family and the importance of love, I'd like to acknowledge two great couples who figure most prominently today. First is Karen and Joseph, the parents of the bride --and of me! And of course, Helene and Jerry, the parents of the groom. How sweet it must be…for the four of you to look at your children and see how happy and in love they are!
Yes, ours are two great families, and now we're merging in a wonderful way. At the heart of that merger is the rich love of Laura and Paul. May that love, and this merger…last with great joy forever.
Love you always,
Cynthia
