Mother's Day Poem Example
Dear Mom,
Patti Ann-Johnson, also known
As Mom, don't you know?
75 years old,
But as ever on the go.
Just the greatest mother,
In each and every way.
That's why, with love, we honor her,
On this, our Mother's Day.
Proud of her unique heritage,
And just to make special note.
"I am Eddie Ann's daughter and I'll do what I want."
That's Mom's famous quote.
Married to Billy Johnson,
All these 57 years.
Raised a family of loving children,
Her own brood of special dears.
She never leaves the house,
Without her lipstick on.
Buys clothes at T.J.'s and Marshall's,
Her beauty sure hasn't gone.
Those blue eyes are so striking,
Her skin soft and ideal.
Mom loves to chat with everyone,
She sure is the realest deal.
She's tried all kinds of churches,
Settled on the Baptist, for sure.
Loves her gospel music,
Always ready for more.
A wiz when in the kitchen,
She'll cook for you, day or night.
You ain't lived without her biscuits,
One taste makes all alright.
If you're ever sick,
She makes potato soup and prays.
There's no one like our Mom,
A wonder all her days.
She collects those new state quarters,
Cans pickles that are the best.
Clips coupons for the whole family,
Never gives it a rest.
She never goes by the recipe,
Always fits life to her style.
The prettiest site on earth?
That's Mom and her smile.
Up early every day,
Right to work she goes,
Watches "The Price is Right,
After lunch, to a nap she goes.
Wakes up all refreshed,
Ready to finish her day.
Just the best is MOm,
In every single way.
As mothers go it's simply true,
MOm is so fine.
And we all agree for sure,
Our Mom is truly sublime.
So now, on this, your day,
Dear Mother and grandma, too.
With love and thanks and very best wishes,
There's no one finer than you!
Love,
Peggy
