Maid of Honor Toast - An Example

Dear, sweet sister, Judy Ann,
Baby to us all,
Now you're getting married
And we'll have ourselves a ball.

Three sisters, forever close,
Judy, Linda and Cindi.
In fact, we're best of friends,
That's a main part of the story.

As kids we spent late nights
In the bathroom, flashlight in tow.
Judy and Cindi dancing on the tub,
Linda lighting, directing the show.

Later on, in high school,
We skipped class one day.
Driving to the Cape was great,
But later we had to pay.

It seems we skipped on Picture day,
Our fool-proof plan was shot.
When the yearbook came out later,
It included our faces - NOT!

Our past is filled with fun times,
And the present is just as bright.
Now Judy's building a future
Of love, laughs and delight.

She'll always be dear sister,
Throughout her long, healthy life.
But now she's something else as well:
She's - oh, for joy! - Max's wife.

This charming couple met up
Back in old Keene College days.
Where they were Safety majors
And each would, the other, amaze.

They got it going one Halloween,
Dressed as Hugh Hefner and a Playboy bunny.
They saw love in each other's eyes,
It warmed their hearts - it was so funny!

Later on, they roomed together,
But dad had to have his say.
He only said yes to this arrangement
When Judy insisted Max was gay!

Now everybody's happy
With this hetero guy and his girl.
And we're thrilled in every way
That they're gonna give it a whirl.

Judy and Max have so much fun,
They're Red Sox fans at heart.
At the onset of a marriage
And a wondrous life to start.

They'll drink their beers at Fenway,
Eat sausage and streak any night.
Stay at home or going out,
It's all gonna be outsight!

'Course Max just has to know
For any contingency to be ready.
That even includes sleeping forever
With Baby's stuffed bear named Teddy.

So please, let's drink a toast
To our dear sister and our new brother.
With all the luck and love on earth
To you two - unlike any other!

Love and kisses,

Linda and Cindi
