Candle Lighting Ceremony Poems - A wonderful and heartfelt touch for your bar mitzvah or bat mitzvah occasion - from PoemsToGo.TV!

Read this : "Dear Amy, That candlelighting poem that you wrote for me for my bar mitzvah was a big hit! I think it's amazing how you were able to write all those verses about my family and my friends -- like you knew me for my whole life! I was a little nervous when I first got up and started to recite it all. But having your great poem right in front of me made it a lot easier. So did getting lots of laughs and applause along the way. I felt like a rock star in concert! Everybody came over to me afterward and told me the poem was great and that I was a big hit! It was all wonderful. So thank you very, very much. My bar mitzvah day was perfect and your candlelighting poem was a big part of it all! Best, Mitchell Appelbaum"

Candle Lighting Ceremony Poems - An Excerpt

It's my bar mitzvah and I'm so proud,
I can't begin to say
How wonderful it is to share
With you ALL on this special day.

Candle light means warmth and life,
So please come up to light,
A candle with me now,
And make this moment ever-bright.

First is our "Long Island crew,"
Great Uncle Howie, please lead the way.
And Cousins Jodi and Jill,
With Debbie and Helayne, if you may.

Cousin Robin and husband Jack,
Patti and Julie, too.
You live so far away now,
But it's always great to see you.

Aunt Sylvia, Uncle David,
With Dorothy and Isaac for sure.
You guys are really great,...
