Poems To Go - Creating Memorable Poems, Speeches, and Toasts for Every Occasion!

Candle Lighting Poems - A wonderful and heartfelt touch for your bar mitzvah or bat mitzvah occasion - from PoemsToGo.TV!

Few occasions are as important to the entire family as a bar mitzvah or a bat mitzvah. And at more and more of these special occasions, the candle lighting ceremony is becoming a major part of the festivities. During the candle lighting, the bar mitzvah boy or the bat mitzvah girl honors significant family and friends, many of whom are called up to help and light a candle. Usually there are thirteen candles lit in all -- to commemorate all thirteen years in the life of the bar or bat mitzvah.

Here is a sample candle lighting poem I prepared for Debbie. "Amy, You hit this bar mitzvah poem out of the park, Sensational job! Best, Sylvia"

PoemsToGo specializes in developing personalized candle lighting poems and speeches, like the real candle lighting speech samples that are provided right here. We'd be thrilled to write one for you too.

Follow Sylvia's lead and please place your order here or click the Order Now link at the top of this page. The price is $300.00 for 15 candles or less. If you have more than 15 candles, please email me here

Candle Lighting Ceremony Poems - An Example

March 6, 2010
One for the Barron family archive.
Not just one but TWO big rites,
Our twins, our dears…two outsights!

Debbie and Dana, sister and bro
Twin B’nai mitzvahs, do you know?
Turning 13 – adulthood does beckon,
Wonderful kids – and heartfelt, we reckon.

A mitzvah is a great event,
No words were ever so true.
And greater than all, ONE event
It features these wonderful TWO!

Debbie loves her horses,
And her cats, which number four.
She’s such a sweetie – and gorgeous,
Blonde and blue – to adore!

Brother Dana’s an athletic star,
He’s really on the beam.
Plays soccer, plays big at b-ball,
On the Hawks, that’s his team.

Both loom large at Rappatack,
Tennis is their game.
These veteran campers, racket stars,
To serve with love – and fame.

Debbie’s known for her humor,
An awesome laugh and smile,
It’s all a matter of personality,
And a truly golden style.

Debbie and Dana both
Excell at Ward Middle School.
Twins in the honor program,
Great grades – and wisdom rules.

Debbie has an admirable grit,
And a positive view on life.
Great daughter and fabulous sister now,
And someday…what a wife!

Dana loves his sports so much,
He lives in a field of dreams.
A true good guy in every way,
He’s just the way he seems.

And best of all this duo,
With so much on the ball.
They love each other, they’re so close,
In stature, they’re so tall.

Just as nice for family,
Their closeness never lacks.
So dear with cousins Jeramy,
Jonathan and, yes, of course, there’s Zach!

From all of us, B’nai Mitzvah wishes,
To these wondrous twins.
Such great kids – magnificent,
Truly -- you’re both win-wins.

On this marvelous occasion,
A glorious, incredible day.
Just know how proud your parents are,
And that we love you in every way.
