Poems To Go - Creating Memorable Poems, Speeches, and Toasts for Every Occasion!

When your best friend is getting ready to celebrate her birthday, think how wonderful a customized poem will be. Rather than a simple birthday card, a personalized poem can and does say so much more!

A friendship toast in rhyme makes a wonderful present. Here's Christine's story. Her best friend Michelle was about to celebrate her birthday and she asked me to create a special poem for the occasion.

Dear Amy, "Thank you so much for this wonderful birthday poem. You've truly expressed my thoughts perfectly. I love it." Many thanks, Christine.

Birthday Poems for Best Friends - A Sample

Dear Michelle,

On this special day
I wanted to send
A most special greeting
To a most special friend.

I want to recall
The adventures we've had,
The friendship we've shared
Through the good times and bad.

We've grown up together
For twenty-five years,
Through 'Dream Books' and dreams lost,
Through laughter and tears.

We ate the same foods,
Though our choices were picky,
And when first love blossomed.
We both chose a 'Nicky.'

We dreamed of great riches,
We welcomed good luck
And chocolate ice cream
From the good humor truck.

Do you remember
That summer, Michelle,
We were riding our bikes
And somehow you fell.

You fell off your bike,
In the street you were lying,
But I went for ice cream,
Though you might be dying!

And much to my sorrow
I bought only one.
But our friendship survived;
We went on to more fun.

We shopped in the city
For bargains of gold,
And never suspected
The fakes we were sold!

But business improved
When we turned to the arts,
And our famous class
Still is known in these parts.

We gathered the children
For crafts and for fun,
And made lots of dollars
(And spent every one).

We spent them on candy
And ice cream to eat,
And on more ceramics
And paints, what a treat!

We've gone places together,
To auctions a lot,
To movies and shopping.
Vacations are hot!

And even a cruise,
Puerto Rico in rain!
But when friends are together,
Who can complain?

I wish you a birthday
Fit for a queen.
With undying devotion,
Your true friend, Christine.
