Poem for 60th Birthday
Here's to Neil Weiss,
Our beloved Moose, for sure.
On this, his 60th birthday,
We celebrate with joy galore.
Here at his Naples Ranch,
It's such a pleasure to bring
All our party favors
To our very own Billboard King.
The pride of Fairfield, CA,
Morris and Shirley's beloved son.
Wherever Neil goes,
Goes with him lots of fun.
Way back in the day,
He pitched for the Minnesota Twins.
Racked up an impressive career
With a record number of wins.
Still athletic as can be,
Works out every day.
And loves his golf so much
In every single way.
Found love forever more,
With Susan, adoring wife.
Together, they have fashioned
A darn near perfect life.
A wonderful family they have,
Lots of love in the fold.
Add 'em up with pleasure:
SIX great kids all told.
Betsy, Debbie and David
Ryan, Andrew and Mary, whew!
And that's not all, consider --
The NEXT generation, too!
Andrea is married to Jason,
And they have Maya and Ella.
Thus Moose is a grandfather,
And also a most happy fella!
He's just the greatest guy,
With a generous heart that's real.
Compassion that never ends,
And a laugh that seals the deal.
His home is always open,
He's a true and loyal friend.
Loves a cocktail and good talk,
His boundless warmth will never end.
As brothers go, he's the best,
Jerry and Gloria agree.
Neil is a classic pal,
As all the world can see.
Our foursome trip to Scotland
Really was oh so great
We golfed, we laughed, we had such fun
Every minute was just first rate.
Now if only Neil, the Rain Man,
Would get his house stuff done,
Then he can get back to what he loves,
Bringing out the best in everyone.
So Neil, brother dear,
Bright as the California sun above.
